House Bill No. by Representative Bryant designates specific portions of Louisiana Highway 182 with memorial names. The section in the city of Jeanerette, between Hubertville Road and Canal Street, will be named the "Berwick 'BJ' LeJeune, Jr. Memorial Highway." Additionally, the stretch of Highway 182 between Jeanerette and Sorrel, from Louisiana Highway 671 to Louisiana Highway 318, will be designated as the "Ret. Judge Richard T. 'Dickey' Haik, Sr. Memorial Highway."

The bill also mandates that the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is responsible for erecting and maintaining signage that reflects these designations. However, this is contingent upon the receipt of local or private funds that cover the actual costs incurred by the DOTD for materials, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation, with a cap of $750 per sign.
