Monies in this fund will be allocated for grants to law enforcement agencies for the acquisition of pursuit intervention technology and for training programs related to the safe deployment of such technology. The fund will also cover administrative costs associated with the grant program, capped at five percent of the annual fund balance. The bill emphasizes the importance of integrating pursuit safety into the Strategic Highway Safety Plan and allows the commission to receive various forms of funding to support these initiatives.
