This bill amends R.S. 4:710(A) to increase the number of special bingo sessions that a licensed organization can conduct annually from two to four. The total amount of prizes that may be awarded on any one calendar day under such a special license remains capped at twenty-five thousand dollars in cash or other items of value. The bill maintains that all other provisions of the chapter will still apply to the issuance of these special licenses.

The act will take effect upon the governor's signature or, if not signed, after the expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature. If the governor vetoes the bill and it is later approved by the legislature, it will become effective the day after that approval.
