The Louisiana State Senate has passed a resolution to commend Teurlings Catholic High School for winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Baseball Division II Select Championship in 2025. This victory marks the school's second consecutive state title, following an impressive season where the Rebels achieved an overall record of 34 wins and only 5 losses, including an undefeated 9-0 record in District 4-4A play. The championship was clinched with a dominant performance against E.D. White Catholic High School, where the Rebels won decisively with a score of 14-3 in the final game.
The resolution highlights the leadership of Head Coach Brooks Badeaux and the contributions of the coaching staff, as well as the outstanding performance of junior Evan Vincent, who was named the Outstanding Player of the Finals for the second year in a row. The Senate recognizes the team's dedication, teamwork, and excellence in sportsmanship, emphasizing the positive impact of their achievements on the school and community.
