He has received multiple coaching honors, including being named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Coach of the Year three times and earning district Coach of the Year honors twenty-four times. His influence extends beyond coaching, as fifty-seven of his former players have pursued coaching careers themselves. The resolution recognizes Coach Broussard's significant contributions to Louisiana high school sports and expresses admiration for his dedication and impact on the community.
