Senate Resolution No. by Senator Duplessis commends the Academy of the Sacred Heart Girls Golf Team for their remarkable achievements, including winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Girls Division II State Golf Championship and excelling in the Metro Championship. The team showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship, overcoming a one-stroke deficit to secure the state title with a two-round total of 234, finishing nine strokes ahead of the runner-up, Episcopal High School. Individual standout Jade Neves earned the title of individual state champion, while teammate Madeline Rudolph also delivered a strong performance, finishing fourth overall.
In addition to their state championship victory, the Sacred Heart team dominated the Metro Championship, winning by twelve strokes and earning All Metro Honors for all four scoring members. The resolution highlights the hard work and dedication of the team and their coach, Jennifer Caro, which brought pride to their school, community, and the state of Louisiana.
