The Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana has passed a resolution to commend Braneshea Moore, an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Louisiana State University Eunice (LSUE), for being awarded the 2024 Elsevier Educator of the Year by the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN). This prestigious honor recognizes her exceptional contributions to nursing education, making her the first faculty member from LSUE to receive such a national accolade among over 9,000 nursing education professionals. The award highlights her innovative teaching methods, ability to inspire students, and active participation in both academic and community service.

Since joining LSUE in 2015 and achieving the rank of Assistant Professor in 2020, Ms. Moore has demonstrated remarkable leadership and dedication to her field, previously receiving the LSUE Foundation Teaching Excellence Award and being nominated for Louisiana's Nightingale Awards. Currently, she serves as the Third Semester Coordinator for the LSUE Nursing Department, where she teaches critical nursing courses and supervises clinical groups. Her achievements were celebrated at the OADN Convention in Tampa, Florida, and the Senate resolution extends its congratulations and best wishes for her continued success in nursing education.
