Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, she spent most of her life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and Louisiana State University. Alongside her husband, she co-founded the St. Elizabeth Foundation, a nonprofit adoption agency that has successfully placed over six hundred babies into loving homes.
The resolution honors Marguerite's legacy, highlighting her strong will, leadership, and passion for cooking and entertaining. She is remembered for her contributions to the community, which earned her recognition as St. Joseph's Academy Alumna of the Year in 2010. Marguerite leaves behind a rich family legacy, including six children, twenty grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
