House Bill No. by Representative Lafleur amends and reenacts R.S. 33:9097.41(A) and (B) to modify the Brookstown Neighborhood Crime Prevention District in East Baton Rouge Parish. The bill changes the name of the district from "Brookstown Neighborhood Crime Prevention District" to "Brookstown Area Crime Prevention and Improvement District." Additionally, it expands the boundaries of the district, which will now encompass a defined perimeter starting at the intersection of Prescott Road and Airline Highway and following a specified route.

The effective date of the bill will be upon the governor's signature or, if not signed, upon the expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature. If the bill is vetoed and later approved by the legislature, it will take effect the day after such approval.
