House Bill No. by Representative Jordan amends R.S. 33:9097.40(B) to expand the boundaries of the Delmont Neighborhood Crime Prevention District in East Baton Rouge Parish. The previous legal language, which defined the district's boundaries as being coterminous with the Delmont Neighborhood Subdivision, has been deleted. In its place, the new legal language outlines a specific perimeter that begins at the intersection of Sherwood Street and North Foster Drive and follows a detailed route through various streets and highways, ultimately returning to the starting point.

The bill is set to take effect upon the governor's signature or, if not signed, after the designated time for bills to become law without signature. If the governor vetoes the bill and it is later approved by the legislature, it will become effective the day after such approval.
