This bill amends R.S. 33:1651(C) to change the title and election process for the office previously known as the parish secretary-treasurer in Acadia Parish. The previous provision that the secretary-treasurer's term would be concurrent with the governing authority's members has been removed.

Additionally, the bill specifies that the current secretary-treasurer's term will end two years after the start of their term, at which point the newly elected parish administrator's term will commence. The parish governing authority is also granted the option to hold an election for the parish administrator before the secretary-treasurer's term officially ends.
