House Concurrent Resolution No. ___ commends Jeffery L. Mumphrey on his retirement after a distinguished career serving the state of Louisiana. A resident of Plaquemine, Louisiana, Mumphrey honorably served in the United States Army as a combat engineer from 1987 to 1995, during which he completed specialized military training. He later graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and took on the role of solid waste director for Iberville Parish until 2001. Since then, he has dedicated over twenty-three years to various state agencies, including the office of planning and budget, the Louisiana Workforce Commission, and the Department of Education.
Throughout his career, Mumphrey has demonstrated exceptional reliability and organizational skills, contributing to the production of nineteen executive budgets and five agency-specific budget requests under five different administrations. He retires as a State Budget Management Analyst 4, and the resolution recognizes his professional achievements and commitment to the state.
