ACT 485 (SB 441) 2024 Regular Session Harris
Existing law authorizes the president of the University of Louisiana System, as authorized
by the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, and the commissioner
of administration to transfer certain state property in Orleans Parish to the Ogden Museum
of Southern Art.
New law retains existing law, including entering of any agreement allowing for the
conveyance, transfer, assignment, or delivery of title as an installment purchase over
multiple years. New law requires that The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Inc., be credited
for any maintenance, upkeep, repairs, capital contributions, or any other expenditures made
in determining the appropriate consideration for the transfer.
New law requires that any and all proceeds from the sale of the property described in
existing law shall be credited to the University of New Orleans to be used at its sole
discretion.
Prior law provided that the transfer authority granted in existing law was to terminate on
June 30, 2024.
New law extends the termination date to June 30, 2028.
Effective June 3, 2024.
