ACT 742 (HB 861) 2024 Regular Session Fontenot
Relative to the Louisiana Competes Regional Economic Development Program, prior law
defined "regional economic development organization" as any of the following or their
successor: the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, the Central Louisiana Economic Development
Alliance, Greater New Orleans, Inc., the Northeast Louisiana Economic Alliance, the North
Louisiana Economic Partnership, One Acadiana, the South Central Planning and
Development Commission, or the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance.
New law amends prior law by changing one of the organizations from the South Central
Planning and Development Commission to the South Louisiana Economic Council.
Effective August 1, 2024.
