ACT 452 (HB 835) 2024 Regular Session McFarland
Existing law provides that it is the intent of the legislature to promote rapid development of
a statewide electric vehicle charging network. Existing law additionally urges the Public
Service Commission to explore excluding certain persons or corporations from the definition
of public utility.
New law retains existing law and urges the Public Service Commission to explore excluding
from the definition of public utility persons or corporations that furnish electricity to charge
marine vessels and vessel-mounted or on-shore power points that are primarily used for
marine vessels.
Effective August 1, 2024.
