ACT 238 (HB 807) 2024 Regular Session Fontenot
Existing law allows the use of public funds by fire districts, municipal fire departments, and
volunteer fire departments for the implementation of length of service awards programs to
eligible firefighters.
Prior law applied only to volunteer firefighters.
New law expands existing law to include all eligible firefighters.
Effective August 1, 2024.
