This bill amends R.S. 29:27.1(A) and (B) to enhance the provisions regarding free airport parking for disabled veterans in Louisiana. It clarifies the proof of disability requirements by allowing disabled veterans to present a military honor license plate, a disabled veteran identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, or a completed certificate from the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs to demonstrate a service-connected disability of fifty percent or more.

Additionally, the bill removes the previous limitation that prohibited disabled veterans from parking for more than ten days. Instead, it now allows them to park for free at an airport as long as they provide proof of an airline ticket showing their departure and return dates. This change aims to provide greater flexibility and support for disabled veterans utilizing airport facilities.
