The Senate Resolution commends and congratulates the Mandeville High School cheerleaders for their exceptional achievements at the 2023 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championship. The event, which took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Florida, featured 1,123 teams from 33 states, all of which had to qualify through regional competitions. The Mandeville cheerleaders competed in two divisions, ultimately being crowned both the WSCC World Champions and UCA National Champions, scoring 90.6 and 93.9 respectively, and outperforming their competitors by significant margins.

Led by Head Coach Chasidy Reid and assistant coaches Paige Butler and Brandon Rami, the Mandeville High School cheerleading team has demonstrated remarkable dedication and teamwork, earning their third national championship and second world championship in just two years. The resolution highlights the pride their accomplishments bring to their school, community, and the state of Louisiana, and it calls for a copy of the resolution to be sent to the school's principal, Christian Monson.
