The House Resolution commends Reverend Dr. Altorio R. Holden, Sr. for his significant contributions to both his community and the ministry. A native of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Pastor Holden has dedicated nearly three decades to his religious vocation, founding Living Word Ministries and serving as pastor of St. Savior Church. He is also a professor at United Baptist Theological Seminary and Bible College, where he not only teaches but also coaches the debate team and engages in community evangelization. Known as the "Love Preacher," he has played a pivotal role in ordaining ministers and establishing churches in the U.S. and Cuba.
In addition to his religious work, Pastor Holden is actively involved in civic matters, having served as president of the Natchitoches Parish Ministerial Alliance and on the Natchitoches Parish School Board. He is a founding board member of Natchitoches Crime Stoppers and has held a corporate safety director position at Pilgrim's Pride for sixteen years, overseeing safety for thousands of employees. The resolution recognizes his extensive achievements and contributions, expressing hopes for his continued success in his ministerial and community efforts.
