Senate Resolution No. by Senator McMath commends the students and faculty of the St. Tammany Parish School System for their outstanding achievement in placing first overall in the 26th Annual Elementary State Championship Fitness Meet, part of the Louisiana Governor's Games. This event, hosted by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports for thirty years, is the only statewide fitness competition for elementary schools, involving thousands of children across Louisiana. The competition includes various fitness events such as the 50-yard dash, shuttle run, and standing long jump, and serves as a significant platform for promoting fitness among elementary school-aged children.

The St. Tammany Parish School System triumphed with a total of 2,357 points, narrowly surpassing the defending champions, Lafayette Parish, who scored 2,352 points. Notably, Jenna Viger emerged as the top performer, contributing significantly to the team's success alongside her teammates Diego Gonzales-Torres, Cayden Wise, and Natalie Rabon. The resolution recognizes the hard work and dedication of the team, coaches, and parents, and calls for a copy of the resolution to be sent to the St. Tammany Parish School Board to commemorate this achievement.
