Abstract: Specifies that the government has an obligation to do all that is reasonable and necessary
to protect the health and safety of its citizens.
Present law provides, in part, that the Louisiana Health Emergency Powers Act is necessary because
the government must do all that is reasonable and necessary to protect the health and safety of its
citizens.
Proposed law retains present law and further specifies that the government has an obligation to do
all that is reasonable and necessary to protect the health and safety of its citizens.
