Amend KRS 158.6453 to require a school district's advanced coursework plan to include middle school mathematics strategies to enable students to enroll in Algebra I by grade 8.

Summary Delete all provisions; direct the Kentucky Department of Education to submit a study by November 1, 2026, to the Interim Joint Committee on Education on middle school mathematics and middle school advanced mathematics coursework; define the minimum contents of the report; authorize the department to collect data and reports from Kentucky public schools and school districts relevant to inform the study.
