Summary Retain original provisions; amend KRS 216B.020 to permit an ambulance service owned by a hospital to be operated through a managed services agreement to be exempt from certificate of need; delete sunset provisions for ambulance service exemptions from certificate of need; amend KRS 311A.030 to prohibit time limits for an ambulance service to apply for licensure; permit the Board of Emergency Medical Services to require application progress reports by administrative regulation; exempt an ambulance service issued a certificate of need on or after July 14, 2022, from obtaining a new certificate of need to apply for licensure.
