The bill amends K.S.A. 75-2731 to specify that the conveyance will be made via quitclaim deed and outlines conditions under which the property will revert to the state historical society if it is not used for public recreation purposes by Audubon of Kansas or if the organization ceases to exist.

Additionally, the bill removes a provision that previously restricted Audubon of Kansas from conveying any portion of the real estate received. It also stipulates that all costs associated with the conveyance will be borne by Audubon of Kansas and clarifies that the conveyance is not subject to certain existing provisions of law. The existing section of K.S.A. 75-2731 is repealed, and the act will take effect upon publication in the Kansas register.
