The bill designates a portion of Interstate 35 in Kansas as the "Deputy Sam Smith Memorial Highway," specifically from the northern junction with U.S. Highway 59 in Franklin County to the junction with Eisenhower Road. Additionally, the bill amends K.S.A. 68-1013 to redefine the section of Interstate 35 that is designated as the "35th Infantry Division Memorial Highway." The previous language referring to "federal-interstate highway No. 35 which traverses the state" is deleted, and the new language specifies the highway's entry point from the Kansas-Missouri line and its route to the Kansas-Oklahoma state line.
