This bill amends existing wildlife laws in Kansas by requiring the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to offer discounted resident senior combination hunting and fishing passes to individuals aged 65 and older. Additionally, the bill removes the expiration date for Kansas kids' lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses, allowing these licenses to remain valid indefinitely. The fee for the senior pass is set at no more than one-eighth of the fee for a general combination lifetime hunting and fishing license.
The bill also includes the revival and amendment of K.S.A. 32-9,100, which previously had an expiration date of June 30, 2020, and the deletion of certain provisions related to the expiration of the Kansas kids' licenses. Furthermore, it mandates that the secretary of wildlife and parks report annually on the number of Kansas kids' licenses issued. The act will take effect upon its publication in the Kansas register.
