SUPPLEMENTAL NOTE ON HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.
6035

Brief*
HR 6035 makes findings concerning Articles I and IV of
the U.S. Constitution, unlawful immigration, current federal
immigration policies, and the southern border of the United
States within Texas.
The resolution states the Kansas House of
Representatives offers support of the State of Kansas to the
State of Texas in defending its southern border. Additionally,
the resolution states the House of Representatives
encourages Governor Kelly to provide the Governor of Texas
support that she deems necessary, to potentially include
resources of the Kansas National Guard, Kansas law
enforcement agents, equipment, and supplies.
The resolution also states that the House of
Representatives seeks further conversations with the
Governor of Texas and the Texas Legislature to formalize an
agreement of support.
The resolution requires the Chief Clerk of the House of
Representatives to send enrolled copies to the Governor of
Texas, the Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives,
Governor Laura Kelly, and Representatives Hawkins and
Proctor.
