SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2505 by Representative Fairchild
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2505 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2505 would allow vehicle dealers to sell vehicles on consignment under certain
conditions.
The Kansas Department of Revenue indicates that HB 2505 would require modifications
to the sales report form and cover sheet, user acceptance testing, and information technology
development. Any costs associated with the bill would be absorbed within existing resources.
The Kansas Association of Counties indicates that HB 2505 would not have any fiscal
impact on counties because the taxing structure currently in place for vehicle sales would not
change.
