SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2469 by House Committee on Federal and State Affairs
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2469 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
Under current law, when a vacancy occurs in the Office of the Governor, the following is
the order of succession: (1) the Lieutenant Governor; (2) the President of the Senate; and (3) the
Speaker of the House. HB 2469 would have the following order of succession when a vacancy
occurs in the Office of the Governor: (1) the Lieutenant Governor; (2) the Speaker of the House;
and (3) the President of the Senate.
The enactment of HB 2469 would have no fiscal effect.
