SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for SB 285 by Senate Committee on Federal and State Affairs
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 285 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
Currently, General Officers of the Kansas National Guard are appointed by the Governor
and subject to confirmation of the Senate. SB 285 would no longer require the confirmation of the
Senate.
The Adjutant General’s Department and Legislative Administrative Services both state that
enactment of the bill would not have a fiscal effect.
