SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for SB 269 by Senate Committee on Federal and State Affairs
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 269 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
SB 269 would exempt charitable raffle prizes of alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverages
from the Kansas Liquor Control Act, the Club and Drinking Establishment Act, and the Kansas
Cereal Malt Beverage Act. Organizations that conduct charitable raffles for alcohol would not be
required to obtain a permit and would not be allowed to provide prizes to any person under 21
years of age.
The Kansas Department of Revenue indicates that enactment of SB 269 would not have a
fiscal effect.
