SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for SB 235 by Senate Committee on Public Health and Welfare
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 235 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
SB 235 would add healthcare providers and services to statutes that outline how dental
providers are being paid. The bill would grant third-party access to healthcare services if certain
criteria were met. The bill would also establish requirements and restrictions for the payment and
reimbursement of healthcare services.
The Dental Board, Insurance Department, Department of Administration, and the Kansas
Department of Health and Environment all state that the bill would not have a fiscal effect.
