SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2374 by Representatives Haswood and Highberger
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2374 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2374 would change the name of the “Columbus Day” state holiday to “Indigenous
Peoples Day.” In addition, the bill would remove reference to “Native American Day” from
current law, which is currently recognized as the fourth Saturday of September of each year.
Enactment of this bill would have no fiscal effect.
