Dear Representative Ellis:
SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2211 by House Committee on Veterans and Military
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2211 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2211 would establish the Office of Homeland Security within the Adjutant General’s
Department. The Adjutant General would be authorized to hire staff and make expenditures to
carry out the provisions of the bill. Employees of the Office would be reimbursed for travel and
other expenses incurred in connection with their official duties. The Adjutant General’s
Department would provide the facilities, budget, and administrative support for the Office and
would be the custodian of all records.
The Adjutant General’s Department does not estimate any additional expenditures for FY
2024 if the bill is enacted.
