Resources
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 105 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
The bill would allow the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to purchase land in
Jewell County.

The Department of Wildlife and Parks states that the bill would allow the purchase of land
that is part of the Lovewell Wildlife Area. For FY 2024, the Department estimates $700,000 would
be required and of that amount the land would total $675,000 and the appraisal and other fees
would total $25,000. The agency indicates that $600,000 would be from the State General Fund
and is included in The FY 2024 Governor’s Budget Report and $100,000 would be from agency
fee funds.

Sincerely,

Adam Proffitt
