COMMITTEE REPORT
MADAM PRESIDENT:
The Senate Committee on Appropriations, to which was referred House Bill No. 1140, has had the same
under consideration and begs leave to report the same back to the Senate with the recommendation that
said bill be AMENDED as follows:
1 Page 2, delete lines 3 through 7, begin a new paragraph and insert:
2 "(d) (c) Medicaid is available to a pregnant woman described in this
3 section for:
4 (1) the duration of the pregnancy; and for
5 (2) a period of time determined by the office of the secretary.
6 The postpartum period of time determined by the office of the
7 secretary must be at least the sixty (60) day days but not more than
8 twelve (12) months of a postpartum period that begins on the last day
9 of the pregnancy, without regard to any change in income of the family
10 of which she is a member during that time.".

and when so amended that said bill do pass .
