1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing the 2019
2 Castle High School archery team for winning their twelfth state
3 championship and second consecutive national championship.
4 Whereas, The 2019 Castle High School archery team won
5 the national championship with a score of 3,480 out of 3,600,
6 ranking the highest of 263 teams from across the nation;
7 Whereas, Castle junior Ashlie Garrison was recognized as the
8 leading female shooter in the high school division, having shot
9 a 298 out of 300;
10 Whereas, The Knights continue a proud tradition having won
11 12 state championships over the past 13 years;
12 Whereas, The national team includes Ashlie Garrison, Ashton
13 Probus, Lola Phillips, Katherine Tessendorf, Mackenzie Kopp,
14 Kevin Stevens, Kyle Probus, Nick Kaufman, J. T. Mitchell,
15 Hayley Moody, Payton Hanson, Andrew Zeller, Talon Counts,
16 Spencer Greenwell, Maggie Robbins, Rylan Royster, Tyler
17 Johnson, Noah Wells, Bresden Laughton, Max Bockelman,
18 Suprit Sooch, Beau Evrard, Rubina Cheema, and Kayla
19 Nasserizafar.
20 Whereas, Each archer on the national team earned a $1,000
21 scholarship;
22 Whereas, The Knights went on to place fourth in the 2019
23 NASP world tournament, located in Nashville, Tennessee;
24 Whereas, The world tournament team included Ashton

1 Probus, Kyle Probus, Ashlie Garrison, Payton Hanson, Kevin
2 Stevens, Talon Counts, Andrew Zeller, J. T. Mitchell,
3 Mackenzie Kopp, Lola Phillips, Spencer Greenwell, Hayley
4 Moody, Kayla Nasserizafar, Maggie Robbins, Jacob Adams,
5 Rylan Royster, Max Bockelman, Dallas Roberts, Megan Merta,
6 Howie Heerdt, Aaron Poirot, and Taylor Schaffer; and
7 Whereas, The Castle High School archery team's season was
8 victorious and unforgettable, as they represented themselves,
9 their school, and the state of Indiana in the highest regard:
10 Therefore,
11 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
12 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
13 the Senate concurring:
14 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes
15 the 2019 Castle High School archery team for winning their
16 twelfth state championship and second consecutive national
17 championship.
18 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
19 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to the
20 members of the 2019 Castle High School archery team and to
21 its coaches and staff.
