Prohibits an employee, officer, appointee, or board member in the executive branch of State government from using nonpublic information derived from the person's official position or gained from the person's performance of his or her official responsibilities in conjunction with participation in a prediction market or event contract of any kind. Further prohibits an employee, officer, appointee, or board member in the executive branch of State government from using nonpublic information derived from the person's official position or gained from the person's performance of his or her official responsibilities to assist any other person in conjunction with participation in a prediction market or event contract of any kind. Provides that the executive order shall not be construed to contravene any federal or State law or regulation. Further provides that the executive order shall not affect or alter the existing statutory powers of any State agency. Specifies that the provisions of the executive order are severable. Effective April 21, 2026.
