Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity may enter into contracts, including, but not limited to, making grants and loans, with employment social enterprises. Defines terms.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 1: Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that, in addition to other activities, the Office of Economic Equity and Empowerment shall provide assistance to employment social enterprises. Defines "employment social enterprise".
