Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Provides that it is an unlawful practice for any person to sell, market, promote, advertise, or otherwise distribute a self-administered sexual assault evidence collection kit to a consumer in the State. Defines terms.
House Floor Amendment No. 1: Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Creates the Self-Administered Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit Ban Act. Provides that it is unlawful for any person to sell, market, promote, advertise, or otherwise distribute a self-administered sexual assault evidence collection kit to a consumer in the State. Sets forth provisions concerning private rights of action and enforcement. Effective January 1, 2026.
