Additionally, the bill allows aggrieved parents to take legal action against covered entities for violations, entitling them to various forms of relief, including compensatory damages and attorney's fees. The Attorney General is granted the authority to investigate violations, impose civil penalties of up to $100,000, and refer offending entities to licensing boards for disciplinary action. The bill includes a severability clause and declares an emergency, making it effective from July 1, 2026.
