This bill appropriates additional funds to the Department of Juvenile Corrections for the fiscal year 2026 while also reducing the overall appropriation and the number of authorized full-time equivalent positions. Specifically, it allocates a total of $1,732,700, which includes $675,100 from the General Fund for administration, $300,000 for community operations and program services, and $525,100 for institutions, with a new insertion of $232,500 from the State Juvenile Corrections Center Endowment Income Fund for capital outlay.

In addition to the new appropriations, the bill reduces the General Fund appropriation for personnel costs in the Administration Program by $675,100 and decreases the full-time equivalent position authorization by seven positions. The bill declares an emergency, allowing it to take effect on July 1, 2025.
