This bill amends Sections 54-1707 and 54-1708 of the Idaho Code to revise the membership and qualifications of the Board of Pharmacy. The board's membership will increase from five to seven members, including one public representative, one certified registered pharmacy technician, and five licensed pharmacists. The amendments specify that the pharmacy technician must meet certain qualifications, including being registered and in good standing in Idaho, having three years of experience in pharmacy practice, and maintaining a current certified pharmacy technician designation.

Additionally, the qualifications for pharmacist members are clarified to require five years of experience in pharmacy practice in Idaho after licensure. The bill also includes a technical correction regarding the qualifications of board members. An emergency clause is included, making the act effective on July 1, 2025.
