This bill amends Sections 54-1707 and 54-1708 of the Idaho Code to revise the membership and qualifications of the Board of Pharmacy. The board's membership will increase from five to seven members, including one public representative, one certified registered pharmacy technician, and five licensed pharmacists. The amendments also specify that the certified registered pharmacy technician must meet certain qualifications, including being a resident of Idaho, registered and in good standing to practice pharmacy, engaged in pharmacy practice, having three years of experience post-registration, and maintaining a current certified pharmacy technician designation.

Additionally, the qualifications for pharmacist members are clarified to require them to be residents of Idaho, licensed and in good standing, engaged in pharmacy practice, and to have five years of experience in the field after licensure. The bill declares an emergency, making it effective on July 1, 2025.
