This bill amends Section 59-502 of the Idaho Code to revise the salaries of judges, specifically increasing the salary of justices of the supreme court from $169,508 to $215,000 per year, effective July 1, 2025. Additionally, it establishes a salary structure for other judges, with court of appeals judges earning $8,000 less than supreme court justices, district judges earning $6,000 less than court of appeals judges, and magistrate judges earning $8,000 less than district judges.

The bill also includes a provision that requires justices and judges to take an oath confirming they have no pending matters before them that have been submitted for consideration at least 30 days prior to taking the oath, in order to receive their salaries. An emergency clause is included, declaring that the act will take effect on July 1, 2025.
