This bill amends Chapter 16, Title 33 of the Idaho Code by adding a new section, 33-1637, which mandates the inclusion of human growth and development instruction in public schools. Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, all school districts, specially chartered districts, and public charter schools serving students in grades 5 through 12 must provide this instruction. The curriculum will include a high-definition ultrasound video demonstrating early fetal development and a computer-generated animation illustrating the process of fertilization and stages of human development in the uterus.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the required instruction must be integrated into any class that covers human biology, contraception, or sexually transmitted diseases and infections. The bill declares an emergency, making it effective from July 1, 2025.
