The bill amends the Idaho Medical Freedom Act by changing the title of Chapter 5, Title 73, Idaho Code, from the "Coronavirus Stop Act" to the "Idaho Medical Freedom Act." It revises the short title in Section 73-501 accordingly. Additionally, the bill updates Section 73-502 to define new terms, including "medical intervention," while removing previous definitions related to "coronavirus" and "coronavirus vaccination." The bill also modifies Section 73-503 to prohibit business entities and schools from mandating medical interventions, including vaccinations, as a condition for services, employment, or school attendance, with certain exceptions for federal law and specific travel requirements.

Furthermore, the bill establishes that no government entity or business can discriminate against individuals based on their vaccination status and prohibits different compensation based on whether an employee has received a medical intervention. It also clarifies that the prohibition on medical interventions does not apply to situations requiring personal protective equipment as per industry standards or federal law, excluding any measures introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill declares an emergency, making it effective from July 1, 2025.
