STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS31544 / S1397
This appropriation to the Department of Insurance provides enhancements to the FY 2025 maintenance budget
that includes 4.00 FTP and additional personnel costs for two deputy fire marshals, a financial technician, and
an examiner financial specialist; replacement items; and the additional 2% CEC.
FISCAL NOTE
This appropriation provides an additional $869,200 to the maintenance appropriation provided to the
Department of Insurance found in Senate Bill 1270. Table 1 shows incremental adjustments to the budget
found in the bill, of which the ongoing increase is $500,000 and the onetime increase is $369,200. Table 2
shows all the adjustments leading to the FY 2025 Total. The total budget for the Department of Insurance is
$11,522,900.
