STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS31335 / S1350
This bill is a product of the recommendations of the Human Trafficking report required by H.B. 341a (2023).
That report recommended the development of standardized training, screening, and assessment tools for
Human Trafficking victims, which this bill provides. The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC)
will collaborate with counties to support the development of the screening.
FISCAL NOTE
The costs of development, distribution, and the production of the screening/assessment tools, and any
informational materials and trainings, is anticipated to be absorbed with current funding levels at IDJC. The
cost is estimated to be $50,000 one-time.
