STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation amends existing Idaho law regarding mandatory minimum sentences for crimes against
children. The legislation addresses bodily injury crimes and sexual crimes and imposes harsher minimum
sentences and enables fines and penalties received under this code to be paid into the Domestic Violence
Project account to be used for victim services
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the state or local level of government nor does it
cause an increase or decrease in revenue for state or local government therefore the legislation has no fiscal
impact.
