STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation amends Idaho Code, Section 18-622 to clarify our existing definition of abortion and it
eliminates the trigger provision and affirmative defense. The legislation also provides additional clarifying
language regarding the reporting standard on rape and incest.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the state or local level of government, nor does it
cause an increase or decrease in revenue for state or local government. Therefore, the legislation has no fiscal
impact.
